The Future FT-AD680 Skid Steer Pile Hammer (also marketed by economy brands like Captok, GIYI, and AGT) is an import-grade, hydraulic breaker-style post driver. It uses a universal skid steer quick-attach mounting plate to drive fence posts, pipes, T-posts, and small pilings into the ground.
- Energy Class: It delivers a driving force of 680 foot-pounds per impact.
- Impact Frequency: The strike rate ranges between 450 and 750 Blows Per Minute (BPM).
- Hydraulic Requirements: It operates on standard-flow auxiliary hydraulics, needing 7.9 to 12 Gallons Per Minute (GPM) of flow and an operating oil pressure of 1,350 to 1,850 PSI.
- Driver Capacity: Most variants feature an 8-inch driver cup designed to hold down posts, alongside a 3-inch drill rod/chisel capacity.
- Weight: The attachment has a transport weight of approximately 600 to 750 lbs.
- Nitrogen Charge Required: This hammer relies on a nitrogen-charged accumulator to cycle the piston. Units bought from liquidators are often shipped empty. You must charge the head with nitrogen (factory recommended pressure is usually around 210 to 228 PSI) before its first use.
